Research

My main research interests involve :

  • Trust and Security;
  • Distributed, Parallel and Concurrent applications and frameworks and
  • Grid Computing.

Current Research

My current research focuses on data provenance. The main concept behind Provenance is to enable the recording of the process by which a result was generated. This is fundamental for many real life applications (science, engineering, medical domain, supply management, etc). Without such information, users cannot reproduce, analyse or validate processes or experiments. I have been involved in the Tools Work Package whose aim is to provide a set of tool allowing the analysis of an application workflow and the visualization of that workflow. As an example, the analysis engine makes use of the JESS rule engine to validate or not a given execution of a workflow.

Former Research

I got my PhD in 2005 from the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, located on the French Riviera. Within the OASIS team of the INRIA research laboratory I have participated in the development of a java Grid middleware called ProActive, which is available in open-source (LGPL) as part of the ObjectWeb consortium. I have actively contributed to core developments and maintenance activities. My Ph.D work was focused on developing a security framework that could cope with the dynamic and versatile nature of grid applications (interested ? click here).
