Education
2001-2005 Ph.D in Computer Science, INRIA Sophia Antipolis, OASIS Project
An Hierarchical, Versatile and Dynamic Security Architecture for the Grid, with honours (mention ‘Très honorable’), funded by the DGA (french DoD)
I got a PhD in Computer Science in 2005 from the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, located on the French Riviera. Within the OASIS team of the INRIA research laboratory I have participated in the development of an open source Grid middleware called ProActive. I have actively contributed to core developments and maintenance activities. My Ph.D work was focused on developing a security framework that could cope with the dynamic and versatile nature of grid applications (more here).
2000-2001 Master Degree (DEA) in Computer Science: Networks and Distributed Systems, with honours, University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis
Experience
2007-present Software Architect,
ActiveEon – http://www.activeeon.com
2007 Research Engineer, INRIA Sophia Antipolis, 8 months
EU GridComp Project
Research Engineer in the OASIS team at INRIA Sophia Antipolis. I am involved in a european project called GridComp. The goal of GridComp is to define grid-oriented components model : the Grid Component Model (GCM). I am in charge of designing the security architecture GCM will rely on for any potentially insecure action.
2005-2006 Research Associate, Cardiff University, Wales, UK
EU Provenance Project — http://www.gridprovenance.org
As Research Associate at Cardiff University, I was involved in a European project called Provenance. I worked with Dr. Omer F. Rana and Vikas Deora. I was working on data provenance. The main concept behind Provenance is to enable the recording of the process by which a result was generated. This is fundamental for many real life applications (science, engineering, medical domain, supply management, etc). Without such information, users cannot reproduce, analyse or validate processes or experiments. I have been involved in the Tools Work Package whose aim is to provide a set of tool allowing the analysis of an application work and the visualization of that work. As an example, the analysis engine makes use of the JESS rule engine to validate or not a given execution of a work
2001-2005 Lecturer/supervised practical classes at University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis
2001 Research Internship, INRIA Sophia Antipolis, OASIS Project
Security Architecture for Mobile Active Objects
2000-2001 Software Engineer, Webmaster, Database administrator
